The tale of Rocco the squirrel monkey unfolds during the momentous period when the world came to a halt due to the unforgettable pandemic. Dr. Rachel and her husband embarked on a journey that intertwined heartache with unexpected joy. Their type A personalities had collided with the sorrow of a miscarriage. Instead of settling for the conventional pet goldfish or flowers, they decided to get a pet monkey. It was love at first sight with baby Rocco and he soon became a loving member of the Witcher family. Fast forward to the present and Rocco is now an older sibling to Heidi, baby John, and a soon to be 3rd baby Witcher on the way!

What does this have to do with pediatric dentistry, you ask? To all our wonderful patients and families out there, no matter what your story in starting your family is, from foster care to IVF, to adoption or no problems starting a family at all, children are such a gift, and we are happy to be a small part of their life through dentistry.

Rocco is a small reminder to the Witcher’s that God is in control! We need to let go, not take ourselves so seriously, and enjoy the precious moments of this life!
